SHENK

RESIDENCE

The front upper south bedroom of this home, referred to as Brigham’s bedroom, was a resting place for Brigham Young when he traveled to Southern Utah. The 1856 home with its 1910 addition at the back had an incongruous appearance of the two periods.  The remodel removed the later addition and seamlessly blended old and new by constructing a new larger more functional design which incorporated the original style of covered porch and simple windows. The home is rich in history and unique conditions.
